Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
There are three important words that are absolutely essential for our salvation.
- Believe
- Faith
- Faithful
All these words are connected with the same root word in the Greek Bible. The verb form pisteuo (believe), the noun form pistis, (faith) and the adjective form pistos (faithful).
The modern definition of the word believe is that its more intellectual facts. The Biblical faith / believe is not mere trust in the intellectual facts about the subject but a reliance / dependency of on the subject.
